Chili season is the favorite season and this recipe has so much flavors going on with all the spices that go in it, it’s true love. Cook a large batch and freeze part for later dinners.
Ingredients:
🌶1 medium onion, chopped
🌶4 garlic cloves, chopped
🌶2 bay leafs
🌶1 tsp chili powder
🌶1 tsp smoked paprika
🌶1 tsp cayenne pepper
🌶1 tsp cumin
🌶1 tsp dry oregano
🌶1 red bell pepper, finely chopped
🌶2 pounds ground beef
🌶1 jar (500gr) diced tomatoes
🌶1/2 cup water
🌶 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
🌶1 tablespoon tomato purée
🌶1 can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
🌶salt and pepper
Step 1 - Simmer onions in oil for 5 min. Then add garlic and all the spices listed above and peppers. Fry for a few min.
Step 2 - add ground beef, brown from all sides while separating chunks with wooden spoon.
Step 3 - Add diced tomatoes, 1/2 cup water, tomato purée, Worcestershire sauce, stir and bring to boil. Then add beans, generous amount of salt and pepper.
Stow 4 - reduce heat to simmer and cook for about 1 hour or more, stirring occasionally.
Enjoy on its own with some cheese or serve with rice or couscous, corn bread, sour cream, and guacamole
